This novel is a recent work from an Indonesian novelist names Orizuka. It is published by Gagas Media publisher in 2011. It has 304 pages, and its size is about 13 x 19 cm. This novel has two main characters, Jingga and Rayan, which is in their vacation in Korea, thus, this novel mainly located there.
The story begins when Jingga, a twenty six-years girl, who is crazy about K-pop, plans to go to Korea. On the airport, she accidentally meets a clumsy guy, Rayan. The destiny brings Jingga to meet the guy for more, since they have to be partners in Together Tour. Rayan goes to Korea is not for vacation, instead looking for his ex-girlfriend, Mariska. Unlike Rayan, one thing that motivates Jingga to Korea is to meet his white-horse prince, Yun Jae.
In the middle of tour, Rayan silently runaway, and Jingga knows it. She is forced joins Rayan to his purpose to look for Mariska. In turns out that actually Mariska already has a fiance, a Korean boy. Therefore, it makes Rayan broken hearts. To console Rayan, Jingga has an idea to introduce how romantic Korea is through a tour which she calls ‘The Romanticism Tour of Korea’, since they are left by other members of tour group.
At first, Rayan does not believe in all of good things about Korea, includes the romantic things of it. In his mind, he believes that Korea has steal Mariska from him. Through many things that they do together, Rayan falls to Jingga, so is she. However, they still doubt since Yun Jae tells that what Rayan feels for Jingga is just temporary, and it means that Jingga is just his escapee from Mariska.
This novel is the 13th work of a teenage novelist names Okke Rizka Septania, or well known as Orizuka. Born in Palembang for more than 26 years ago, Orizuka has write 16 novels, and one of her novel, Summer Breeze has adapted to a movie at 2008. Besides writing, Orizuka also like learning foreign languages, reading, watching, and fangirling with other K-popers.
In this novel, author uses third person perspective. She also can describe each scene in her novel clearly. I also like the selection words or Orizuka’s writing style. However, the author uses of too many foreign languages in this novel, thus I think it may disturb readers who do not understand the languages.
Overall, I think that this novel is really recommended for Indonesian teenagers who are infected by K-pop ‘viruses. This novel teaches us one important thing; we may love other culture like Korean culture as long as your own culture is still number one for us. Besides, Orizuka also describes about each place in her novel very clearly, so that readers can imagine that they really are in the place that are mentioned by the author.

Revision 2

My Experience in Writing 2
This semester is the second time we study writing. Furthermore, it is the first time for us, K.1, to study with these two lecturers: Mr. Muhammad Ansyar, and Mrs. Leni Marlina. However, now I am going to tell my experience in writing 2 with one of my lecturers, Mrs. Leni Marlina or well known as Mrs. Lina.
Since the first time I met her, I found out that she is an explicit lecturer. She ordered us to write our experience in writing 1 last semester, after that we showed our writing to our friends, and asked them to give comments. Then, if our writing has been commented, we would correct it until we felt that there was no mistake there.
Frankly speaking, it was hard for me to write all of essay that she ordered us. Started with the first essay, experience in writing 1, I got a fair draft. It means that, my writing is one level from not bad. Yah, maybe because I really not good at writing essay, but on my revision, I got a better draft. Then I thought that if I keep on trying, then I maybe will get an excellent draft.
Narrative text is the second essay that we have to write. Mrs. Lina ordered us to write a narrative text, it can be a remake of a narrative that already exist, based on our experience, or a fiction that based on our imagination. At that time, I wrote a fiction or short story which is based on my own idea.
We continued with a discussion essay. For the first time, I did not really understand about discussion essay and how to write it. I remembered that Mrs. Lina ordered us to write an outline first, then I kept on thinking of what issue will I write for almost one hour, until an idea came on my mind. I wrote about a pro and contra of superhero movies for children. Well, it actually was inspired by my nephew who is really crazy about superhero movies.
From those three kinds of essay, I really enjoy in writing narrative text which entitled My Step Brother. Thus, I think it is my best essay so far, since I love writing fictions so much. At the first time Mrs. Lina asked about anyone who write about own fiction, no one raised their hand except me! For the first time, I felt so worry, but after Mrs. Lina read a little piece of my story, and she said that it was an interesting fiction, I felt really relief, and a little proud!
I continued to write my fictions on my boarding house. Actually, at the first time, I did not have any idea to continue it yet. I mean, I did not have any plan about the ending; meanwhile, I was pressured by the deadline. Therefore, I decided to write everything that came through my mind. So, the ending that I wrote included some drama scenes. In fact, after I showed it to my friends, some of them said that my story was such a drama, but they liked it. I knew, I knew it will happen. I knew that they will say like that, because I also did not want to write like that.
For my second revision, I had a different idea. I made much of the scenes rather different from the first one. However, my friends said that my revision was more drama than before! Well, I did not have same opinion with them. I just thought that my revision was better than before, and from all of essay that I ever write, I really love my fiction, My Step Brother.
After my narrative text is commented, and submitted to Mrs. Lina, the next step is to publish it to my blog. For the first time, I did not confident with it. I was afraid that if I show it to public, then they will give many criticals for me. Well, now I realize that I have to accept all of suggestions, advices, and criticals, because it can help me to improve my writing.
At last, from many experiences that I felt in writing 2, I learn one important thing, that we should not give up on doing something until we feel that what we are doing already been perfect or agree with our effort. Then, start from now on, I will apply every method that Mrs. Lina taught us; make an outline before begin an essay, ask comments from others after we write it, and then make revisions.

After Earth

Title                  :           After Earth
Genre               :           Science fiction, Fantasy
Director            :           M. Night Syhamalan
Stars                :           Will Smith                     as         Cypher Raige
                                    Jaden Smith                  as         Kitai Raige
Sophie Okonedo          as         Faia, Cypher’s wife
Zoe Kravitz                  as         Senshi, Cypher’s daughter

After Earth is a 2013 science fiction movie starring Will Smith, Jaden Smith, Sophie Okonedo, and Zoe Kravitz, and directed by M. Night Syhamalan, the same director of The Happening (2008), Lady in The Water (2006), The Village (2004), Sign (2002), Unbreakable (2000), and The Sixth Sense (1999). Thus, it will make a good credit for this movie as most of Syhamalan’s works before.
The movie begins when One thousand years after humans move from earth to another planet names Nova Prime. A 13 years-old boy names Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) disappointed after he fail to be a ranger like his father, a legendary general of rangers names Cypher Raige (Will Smith). Even though  Cypher brings Kitai to visit other rangers in a planet names Ipithos with a craft called Ursa.
Just before Cypher and Kitai arrives in Ipithos, a heavy storm damages their craft until it accidentally lands on a planet that we used to know as earth. Most of people in the craft die, except Cypher and Kitai. As Cypher is dying in the cockpit, Kitai go out from the craft to send signal to Nova Prime. Thus, Kitai have to travel on the dangerous earth, fight many vicious creatures, and face his fear.
Indeed, this movie has a bad side. In this movie, audiences might disappointed since the main actor – Will Smith – is not really shows his action as usual. He only sit in the cockpit without do action scenes, it is beyond my expectation.
On the other hand, this movie also has many good sides. I can get the chemistry between Will and his son, Jaden Smith.it reminds me to their awesome acting as father and son in The Pursuit of Happiness, one of my favorite movie which is starred by Will and Jaden. Another thing that I like from this movie is the idea which is presented by Syhamalan. When we watch this movie, we will find that the story is different from other movie, because the fantasy, science fiction, and drama are mixed in one movie.

Writing II

My Experience in Writing 1

Last semester, we studied with two different lecturers; they are Mr. Saunir and Mrs.Witri. However, Mrs. Witri was no longer taught us, because she had to leave related to her pregnancy. Mrs. Witri then was replaced by Mr. Al Hafiz. When studied writing I, I found differences of teaching style of Mr. Saunir, Mrs. Witri, and Mr. Hafiz.
Mr. Saunir concerns with our grammar. He ordered us to create our own paragraph or essay based on what we have learned. After we made it, our writing was shown to others through infocus. Our friends will give comments, critical, or opinion to our writing, then it up to us whether we will accept it or not.
Different with Mr. Saunir, Mr. Hafiz concerns to how to build a good writing (essay or paragraph). After he gave explanation, then he will order us to create our own essay. However, he sometimes did not ask us to submit it or show to others.
On the other hand, Mrs. Witri also has a different teaching style from those two male lecturers. She explained the materials to us, step by step about each topic; then she ordered us to make our own paragraph or essay. We then submit it, so that Mrs. Witri will give score to our writing.
Frankly speaking, from those three lecturers, I like Mrs. Witri’s teaching style. I like when our lecturers give explanation, let us to create our own writing based on our ideas and imagination, and then we submit it. It will help me especially to find out the increasing or decreasing my ability in writing. I also can find out how is my score in each assignment.

My Hope in Writing 2

I hope this semester will be better than the last semester in many things. First of all, I really hope that my final grade will be A, because last semester I did not get A. Then I hope that our lecturers can explain about the matery very clearly. I also hope that this semester I will develop my ability in writing, so that I can be a good writer in the future, because my desire is to be a novelist. My hope is the lecturers will help me slowly, patiently, and effectively.
